Unfair Competition

PVK has acquired particular experience in handling major court cases on unfair competition. We have provided long-term legal support to advertisers and advertising firms about advertising reviews, and the resolution of advertising disputes before the Advertising Review Committees.

• representing a leading Greek dairy industry in the milk cartel investigations before the Hellenic Competition Commission and the administrative courts
• providing legal counsel to a large US multinational in a European-wide dispute with its competitor concerning abuse of dominant position
• securing in favor of our client a  Justified Opinion the European Commission against the Greek State requesting the abolition of a law that contravened European conventions
• representing a client before the European Court of Human Rights in a case with a value of 100.000.000 €
• providing review of compliance with the antitrust legislation in mergers between various multinationals
• providing review of compliance with competition law of agency / distribution agreements of various multinationals
• pursuing recourse to the Council of State to invalidate the Competition Commission’s bylaws
• representing a leading Greek cold meats industry in important litigation relating to the advertising of certificates / patents of its key competitor
• representing a leading Greek dairy industry in important litigation concerning advertising of the origin of raw materials in the products of its key competitor
